Obama’s cave to Netanyahu is no surprise. Those of us who have followed Obama and the Israel/Palestine conflict closely have known for some time (I wrote about it two years ago) that Obama would be no change from the past. Some may think that supporting Israel is not in America’s interest, but the oligarchy that put Obama in the White House differs with that opinion. To them Israel is America’s surrogate in the Middle East. They are not seeking peace, rather chaos, and Israel is doing a bang up job of serving that cause. The peace process is a dead duck. Nothing will be resolved until the US empire collapses, bringing Israel down with it.
