Bush Exposes Himself In Public
No, dear reader, I’m not about to state or imply that the President of the United States of America dropped his trousers in public or anything like that. What he exposed during the course of an interview with Israeli Channel 2 was far more revealing and shocking than that.
To give some necessary context to what President Bush said to his Israeli Channel 2 interviewer (an apparently very nervous lady), I want to quote the words of a very dear Jewish friend of the Gentile me. He’s a survivor of the obscenity of the Nazi holocaust and one of the most passionate and courageous critics of the Zionist state of Israel and its crimes.
His name is Dr. Hajo Meyer. He was born in Germany, served in the Jewish underground and, when he was captured by the S.S., was transported to Aushchwitz. After that death camp was liberated, he pursued a very successful business career, becoming the managing director of a European subsidiary of a multi-national corporation with a household name.
I first met Hajo nearly two years ago when he agreed to join me on a public speaking platform in Londonto discuss and debate the difference between Judaism and Zionism, and why, as the title of my latest book states, Zionism is the real enemy of the Jews.
At breakfast on the morning after the event, I asked Hajo a question. I prefaced it by saying I was impressed and amazed that, at the age of 82, he was still willing to speak out and, by so doing, make himself a prime target for vilification by Zionists and other supporters of Israel right or wrong.”Why do you still do it?” I asked.
He replied:“The first person I see every morning is me.”
That was his way of telling me that, for him, nothing was more important than to be able to live with himself by looking, every morning, in the mirror on the wall, into the mirror of his soul.
The idea of the eyes as the mirror of the soul is traced back to Cicero(106-43 B.C.). He is quoted as saying, Ut imago est animi voltus sic indices oculi. “The face is a picture of the mind as the eyes are its interpreter.” The Latin proverbs, Vultus est index animior Oculus animi indexare usually translated as “The face is the index of the mind.” The French say Les yeux son le miroir de l’dme. “The eyes are the mirror of the soul”.
Now to what President Bush said.
Israel’s Channel 2 interviewer, having noted that he was in the last year of his presidency, asked what he thought was his biggest achievement and what “if anything” he regretted.
Bush replied: “I don’t spend a lot of time looking into the mirror. I guess that’s the best way to say it.”
I’d like to know why Bush spends little or no time looking into the mirror. I can think of only two possible explanations.. One is that he really is a stupid man and in some respects less than completely human. (I think he often speaks like a Dalek). The other is that he knows he would not like what he saw in the mirror and would not be able to live with himself.
I find myself wondering if Bush’s most likely successor, Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton, take time out to look into the mirror of their souls. My guess is that Barack probably does and Hillary probably does not.

this is my first visit to your blog, which so far i like very much. two questions/points, though. one, have you seen obama’s letter to the Security Council a few weeks ago? the one in which he urged them to take no statement re Israel’s actions in Gaza unless they condemned the rocket fire? and two, isn’t it true that other settler states – like the US – were formed in violation of intl law?
