Deception has always been the name of Zionism’s game

As it happened, that Jewish concern and those Jewish fears were washed away by the obscenity of the Nazi holocaust, without which Zionism almost certainly would not have triumphed.

After its unilateral declaration of independence, the Zionist (not Jewish) state’s policy was to advance by creating facts on the ground. In effect its message to the world was, as it still is: “We know we should not have done this, but we’ve done it. And there’s nothing you can do about it.”

    Mr Hart,

I agree with you. The best word to describe Zionist Propaganda is deceit. The Western political leaders are being held as hostage by Zionists.

I think if there is war between Iran and United States, the Israel army will exploit the situation to get rid of the Palestians from West Bank & Gaza.

It beggars the imagination that the Obama administration cannot see through Netanyahu’s ploy. Don’t they understand anything? I certainly wouldn’t consider myself anything like an authority on this subject but even I can see through this non-starter. Little wonder that the Palestinian response has been so negative. Frankly, I despair of ever living long enough to see a resolution to this problem, and I’m not that old.

Netanyahu is not stupid. He knows that some of us know he is not remotely interested in peace on terms the Palestinians could accept

Very few Americans know that. Some are being brainwashed–AGAIN–into sending our kids off to fight and die for Apartheid Israel by bombing and invading Iran.
Some of these folks think a few well placed nukes could solve all the ME’s problems by making most of Israel’s ‘existential’ enemies evaporate.

Other Americans worship at the ‘Blessed Bleeding Heart of the Sacred Jesus of the Thumping Bible’ where they hear John Hagee or his fellow wolves in sheep’s clothing rail against the enemies of Israel and where they’re told that if they don’t worship Israel and petition Congress to give Israel everything it wants, they’ll burn in Hell… and they gladly obey.

Others have dedicated their lives to filling that empty space between their ears with celebrity gossip, sporting contests and malicious gossip. But they stay current on world affairs by listening to Rush and watching a drunk rodeo clown perform hat tricks.

That’s deception on a nation wide level and it didn’t happen by chance.

Netanyahu’s offer is nothing more than putting lipstick on a pig. I don’t know just what is behind this ruse – evidently he thinks the Palestinian people suffer from short-term memory loss, because this same “offer” has already been rejected. Unless, of course, he is aiming it in the direction of Marwan Barghouti, thinking he can blackmail, coerce and bully him into accepting it (after all, Netanyahu’s government is letting him out of prison, no?). How interesting indeed that the same lousy deal is offered a second time, with slightly different language, and even the US doesn’t bat an eye but says, “this is unprecedented!”

I have to seriously question whether Obama knows what he’s doing; he also seems to suffer from short-term memory loss and Attention Deficit Disorder. Unless he’s so desperate to dig himself out of this diplomacy hole that he’s willing to go along with anything just to make it look like the whole so-called peace process isn’t dead in the water.

Just a thought, but has anyone noticed how in the press Barghouti is being described as a “Fatah strongman”? The negative image of him is already being sold to the world, I would assume for the purpose of preventing him from getting any political support. It just made me realize that Netanyahu has single-handedly turned back the peace process at least 10 years. I have not seen such a ruthless politician in many years.

Obama’s Administration is filled with Zionists. Why are you surprised at the inaction on his part?

  8. John Robertson:

We are getting the Zionist propaganda via The Melbourne Age.
Todays lot from Isi Liebler ex Australia now living in Israel. The same paper asks for comment but after 4 tries I guess it is OK only if it is agrees with the zionist line.
The Age used to be a world class newspaper but has joined the rest of the pro Israeli MSM. I sugested they print some or all of your writings on the ME Alan but I won’t hold my breath.
    End of whinge.

  9. Chris Crookes:

    Dear Alan,
Thanks for an informative view of the historical precedents of Netanyahu’s recent statement.
May I ask you, with your personal knowledge of many of the key players in the last few decades and understanding of politicians’ motives and options, WHY is it that
    1. leaders such as Angela Merkel, Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and now Barry Obama either do not see through the propaganda and deceit
    or
2 why having seen through it they fail to declare it as such?

  10. Mary:

I would like Alan’s views on that as well. I actually am of the opinion that it is naive and unrealistic to expect governments to behave in a moral or ethical way. All governments act in self-interest only, and that includes the US. They do not form alliances for romantic reasons, but for political and strategic ones.

One of Israel’s chief functions in the political sphere is to present itself to the world as a beacon of civility struggling to survive in a region populated by violent and aggressive barbarians, a so-called democracy of enlightened and modern civilization in the wilderness of the middle east. Israel has persuaded the US and other countries that by supporting it, they prevent the evils lurking in the middle east from taking over the world. The US actually uses Israel as a huge military base, and so the alliance is in part militarily strategic.

There is an intricate web of alliances involving economic aid, promises of military support and political achievement involving Israel, the US and the European Union. The politicians don’t care if Israel bombs Gaza right out of existence, at least not in a moral sense. This includes the US, who hypocritically issues an annual report listing countries it feels are violators of human rights (and it is no wonder that Israel never makes the list). Governments are inherently amoral, and torture, war and mayhem are simply business as usual.

This is why there will be no political solution to the occupation of Palestine; liberating the Palestinians will not benefit anyone politically. The solution must come from the people themselves, pressuring the politicians until it becomes impossible for them to continue with the status quo.

  11. admin:

To all who commented on this post, thank you. Busy though I am, I will respond to you all, collectively, in the next day or two.

As a trailer to my answer to Chris Crookes’ question, I’ll say this about Blair for now. Of the Western European leaders of his time in office as PM and still today, he was and is in a league of his own because he is as deluded as any Zionist leader. (I say that in my book). My Archives contain the text of the open letter I wrote to Prime Minister Blair on 10 May 2007 (http://www.alanhart.net/open-letter-to-pm-blair-doing-a-northern-ireland-in-the-middle-east/). I also sent a hard copy to him at Number 10 Downng Street. I got a response from his private office in 48 hours. It said he was pleased that I felt able to write to him (!); that he had asked for a careful note to be made of what I had written; and that he had given instructions for a copy of it to be sent to the foreign office.

    Till soon.

    Best wishes to all.

    Alan

  12. Mary:

“And yes, Mary, you’re right. It is “naïve and unrealistic to expect governments to behave in a moral and ethical way.” But I don’t know anybody, anywhere, who does expect that. Do you know people who do?”

Unfortunately, Alan, I am afraid I do. The American people expect it of their government and because of the incessant nationalism being taught to schoolchildren from the time they first start school, Americans generally believe that the US is the most moral country in the world, the most ethical, that we fight good wars and that God is on our side. I think that this is an undercurrent in American politics that causes many people to fail to examine what the government does, and why. And most dangerously, it causes people to deny the immorality and inhumanity they see with their own eyes.

Thank you for sharing your friend’s impression of Netanyahu. Not since George W. Bush have I been so horrified to see a politician win an election as when Netanyahu was elected in Israel. He has already shown himself to be oblivious to anything other than to accomplish the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians from the West Bank and from Occupied Jerusalem. The man does not care about world opinion or about forming or strengthening alliances with any other country. He is confident that the Zionist control of US politicians will not waver. His recent pledge to freeze settlement building in the West Bank is not to be trusted; although he may implement it, I am sure that there is a political game underway, one that does not involve peace, because there has never been an Israeli politician less interested in peace, or ending the occupation, than Netanyahu.
