Israel-Palestine: Speeding up the countdown to catastrophe
The proof that this is so is in the fact that the vast majority of Israel’s Jews cannot bring themselves to acknowledge that a terrible wrong was done to the Palestinians by Zionism and that this wrong must be righted if there is ever to be peace and security for all.
It follows that if a new political center for which Shavit is pleading was to be created, it would serve no purpose, change nothing, unless the policy it was advocating was constructed on an acknowledgement of the wrong done to the Palestinians by Zionism and the need for that wrong to be righted.
I can’t see that ever happening and my own conclusion is that change will not come, cannot come, from within Israel.
And that puts me in complete agreement with Mitchell Plitnick who concluded his latest article in the following way.

As I have written and said on numerous occasions, the disaster waiting for its time to happen will most likely be in two phases – a final Zionist ethnic cleansing of Palestine followed by Holocaust II, my shorthand for another great turning against Jews everywhere. The latter will be the consequence of the transformation of the rising, global tide of anti-Israelism provoked by the Zionist state’s policies and actions into anti-Semitism.
Mitchell Plitnick and other Jewish critics of Israel’s policies and actions seem to believe that meaningful pressure by America and Europe would cause a majority of Israel’s Jews to open their minds to the need for peace on terms the Palestinians could accept. It might but it could also be counter-productive. How? By re-confirming most brainwashed Israelis in their belief that Zionism has always been correct in its assertion that the world hates Jews and everything and anything must therefore to be done to preserve Israel as a refuge of last resort for all Jews everywhere. And that, of course, would be a mandate for Israel’s leaders to tell the whole world to go to hell.
At the time of writing I see no reason for optimism. And that’s why I believe my headline for this article is appropriate.

You are absolutely right Mr Hart in seeing no reason for optimism at this point in time, particularly that the views of the ignominious Naftali Bennett and his colleague in crime Ayelet Shaked, are in concert with the principal Zionist mafiosi. It is not their fault in as much as the fault of their western supporters who bend over backwards to back to justify their crimes.
For Palestinians, the new obscene scene in Israel spells the beginning of the end of the Zionist dream. Hopefully the world will now see how wrong it was to swallow all the Zionist lies and inflict injustice upon the Palestinians.

It would be fair to say that the essential component in the stew which Palestine-Israel find themselves in ( almost total refusal of the Israeli Jews to acknowledge the nakba and so, perhaps, to act decently in consequence) is endorsed and propagated by the media in “the West”.Against all evidence, the opinion-formers insinuate that the blockage has nothing to do with that nice Mr Netanyahu and his gang, and everything to do with the evil Hamas. Mr Bennett is probably unheard of among the Western public, and Jewish “settlers” sound so inoffensive and , if anything, an asset to the region where their supposed progressive ( c/w the “Arabs”) behaviour is so like that of the Pilgrim Fathers (the slaughtering the natives bit is ignored or glossed over in the mainstream US histories) All quite deliberate on the part of the media and politicians who shamelessly whip the dead horse of the “two-state solution”. Let’s hope Mr Blair’s mission of peace is soon concluded…

Sami, It is not enough that we just hope. Until the Jews who have even half a Logical Mind can concede that what these Zionist jews ( those who have propagated too much angst and bloodshed upon The Palestinians.. in order to force their ‘Ideas’ upon All of The world ) have done IS Woefully Wrong, And that they have been propagandized to believe A bad lie…One that has to be Made Right..before Anything of a lasting nature For any ISITREAL can Be Successful.,, If not Noted and Made Right, Then , just as it has Always been before…Jews will be Subject to be Everlasting vagabonds always Put on the move >>And Searching out Where Their next place to Light..will be. During his stay in Lebanon, Gilad Atzmon revisted Maleeta, a town occupied by Israeli army until 2000 when it was forced to packup and withdrew to Israel as result of Hizballah’s 18-year armed resistance.

I would like to know who is the narrator of this deavstating film. Is it Berek Joselewicz or Ronen Berelovich?I am utterly ashamed as an American that the United States is complicit in this human tragedy. The dismemberment of Palestine and the attempted destruction of Palestinian culture should be on the human rights agenda of every ngo, every self-described humanist/progressive.
