Obama has signalled his coming complete surrender to Zionism and its lobby

Part of the answer is, of course, that he is no more willing than any of his predecessors to have a showdown with the Zionist lobby and its stooges in Congress and the mainstream media.

But there might be more to it.

In the privacy of his own mind Obama probably understands better than any of his predecessors how the conflict was created and what has sustained it. If that is the case, he will also know there’s no guarantee that real American-led pressure on Israel to be serious about peace would work and that it could be counter-productive.

I am a supporter in principle of the case and the need for the Zionist state of Israel to be totally isolated, boycotted and sanctioned as Apartheid South Africa was, eventually. But… The danger is that even the credible threat of a real boycott and sanctions could play into the hands of those Israeli leaders – Netanyahu has long been their standard bearer – who have brainwashed Israelis, most if not quite all, into believing that the world hates Jews, always has and always will, and that Israeli Jews have no choice but to tell the world to go to hell. In this context (and as I note in the Epilogue of the American edition of my book), I think it could and should be said that Zionism succeeded, probably beyond its own best expectations, in transforming the obscenity of the Nazi holocaust from a lesson against racism and fascism and all the evils associated with them into an ideology that seeks to justify anything and everything the Zionist state does. War crimes and all.

So it could be that in the privacy of his own mind, Obama knows it is already too late (not to mention too dangerous) to try to push Israel’s leaders much further than they are willing to go.

What, I wonder, will honest historians of the future make of what is happening right now? My guess is that they will conclude that when Obama launched his push for peace, the Zionist state was already a monster beyond control.

I like your choice of photo. It looks like…

    - Obama is telling Abbas, “Sorry mate. That’s life.”
    - Abbas is saying, “Oh! Come one!”
    - Netanyahu looking smug.

  2. Chris:

Probably this article is one of the most clarifying ones to this date of 2010 ever. It opened my mind even more. The problem is the God issue, God this God that and so on… There only one and this one is our respect for each other no matter what we believe. The real religious people are the ones who does not kill in name of anything. Peace.

  3. Ahmed Asgher:

“Ultimately the U.S. cannot impose a solution.”

Yeh, right. Tell that to the Afghanis, Iraqis and the Eyranians where the threat of using nuclear bombs to bring Iran into line is “on the table”.

Obama must have many tables for every sort of country and Israel clearly sits at the Oval Office table.

Somehow this is not news for us in the Middle East. American governments can never be an impartial judge. Try applying such favouritism in a court of law and the whole and the whole justice system will cramble.

    Peace brother/sister.

    Ahmed from Bahrain.

  4. Laurent:

Shock and awe is the answer, the only one answer. Everybody knows that. But due to the holocaust industry and the covert agents’(I mean zionist agents not to say mossad agents) in all western governments more particularly in the US government manipulation of the said governments manipulation of the msm most are scared to be branded antisemitic to call for an end to the unaccountability of what is a rogue state par excellence. Funny that BushIII
does not apply his magic formula to all countries and order all the US forces back home?

  5. M. Jamil Hanifi:

The short answer to your central question is: Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod. The Long answer is: The total penetration of the United States power machine by Zionist Jews. They are now in complete control of the economic, political, and military assets of the United States. The cooptation of the totalitarian regimes in Egypt and Saudi Arabia by Washington to the advantage of Zionists is an intended result of these masterful strategies.

  6. Ronald Douglas Kennedy:

“the US. The assumption has always been that at the point where Israel’s colonial ambitions collide with critical US national interests, an American president would draw on the massive credit the US has accumulated with Israel to insist it dismantle its illegal settlements, which successive US administrations held to be the main obstacle to a peace accord.”

You cant make a deal with zionist Terrorist. Asking Bank Robbers how much they wish to keep if the will pleas leave the bank is shameful. These zionist have no honor to there past credit account with America,Or our Finest fighting there Contrived Wars.

    Ronald Douglas Kennedy

  7. Douglas Zork:

In the privacy of his own mind President Obama must be thinking of the true limitation on the power of the US to impose a settlement on the Israeli side. That is, the American people cannot elect a President who fails to convince the Israeli leadership and the American Israel Political Action Committee that he or she will never attempt to thwart or pressure Israel in any way. Breaking the deal after getting elected is guaranteed political, livelihood, and possibly physical, suicide.

The US will continue to do its utmost to impose whatever conditions Israel calculates will be impossible for the Palestinian side to accept.

President Abbas has been deprived by the US and Israel of all legitimacy to represent the Palestinian people in Israel, and in the Israeli-administered, blockaded, and terrorized territories. In exchange for illegitimate power and privileges in dwindling enclaves of Palestine, Fatah, the PLO, and the PA long ago traded away the rights of the Palestinian diaspora to return to their homes and properties in Palestine.

It is time for people of good will everywhere to freely acknowledge Israel’s crime of ethnic cleansing of 750,000 Palestinians in 1947- 1949, and the Apartheid legal and administrative system under which Israel has subjugated all Palestinians, since 1949 within the Green Line and since 1967 in the Israeli-administered and blockaded territories.

The only way for Israel to achieve legitimacy is to acknowledge its responsibility for oppressing the Palestinian people in order to establish the Jewish Apartheid homeland of Israel. Just like the Afikaaners in South Africa, Israel must negotiate to restore the rights of all Palestinians, Jews and non-Jews alike, within the whole, united territory of Israel/Palestine.

We need to speak the truth, brave the thuggery of the American Israel lobby, and support the Palestinian call for non-violent civil resistance and the medicine of boycot, divestment, and sanctions.

And we need to recognize that US foreign and domestic policy has been equally guilty of all the crimes, and more, that Israel has committed against the Palestinians. So we need to speak out against the international crimes of the USA just as much as we accuse Israel.

  8. george beres:

Obama has not signaled anything. He simply has verified continuance of the theft of our nation by Israel that has continued through every Administration since Israel illegally was founded. The Israeli lobbies intimidate the Congress by buying legislators with massive, legal campaign contributions. Threats to Obama, I believe, are something more personally threatening and dangerous. Yet gullible Americans, still laboring under false guilt created by the Holocaust Industry, refuse to challenge the Israeli lobbies. – George Beres

  9. admin:

    @Douglas

I agree… Unless and until enough Israelis and Jews everywhere are prepared to acknowledge the wrong done to the Palestinians in Zionism’s name, there is no hope for anything but catastrophe for all. Nakba denial is as evil as holocaust denial.

  10. Riaan Venter:

why does such a small conflict with so few people (relatively), draw so much attention. why don’t you just let them kill each other and get it over with? really? who cares?

  11. rosemary spiota:

Douglas Zork- great comment. Thanks Alan for the post.
